Onion and Tomato Raita

This is a great side dish to use with spicy entrees. The great flavor of tomatoes and onions with its subtle green chilly heat.

Quantity Ingredient
8 oz. Plain Yogurt
1 Small Onion
1 Medium Tomato
1 tsp Vegetable oil
½ tsp Mustard seeds
½ tsp Salt
2 Green cayenne chilli

  1. Chop onion and tomatos and add to Yogurt. Non-fat for a low-fat recipe
  2. Chop chillies. Make the pieces fine if you are adventurous, but you can make it a little bigger, so no one gets a spicy surprise.
  3. Heat oil in a small, thick bottomed pan. Add mustard seeds and chillies. When the mustard seeds start popping, add to yogurt.
  4. Add salt just before serving.
